Ladies Guilloché Swiss Pendant Pocket Watch in Sky Blue
This is an elegant and exquisitely crafted antique pocket watch featuring alluring sky blue guilloché enamel. It has a working mechanical wind and keeps time. The last time this watch was serviced is unknown. The case, crown, and stem are rendered in beautiful .800 silver. The crown, stem, and frame around the dial feature are oxidized but should clean up nicely.
A wide border of sky blue guilloché enamel frames the dial. The same blue enamel can be seen on the back of the watch overlaying a pattern in the metal underneath.
The interior of the case-back shows a number of hallmarks stamped into gold-washed .800 silver. A rectangular cartouche enclosing the number “800” can be seen at the top. This is followed by a case-maker’s mark reading “S Co” and a national mark reading “Swiss”. The words “Argent Dore” (French for “Silver Gilt”) appear below.
The dial features a bright, white face with stylish, hand-painted black Arabic numerals. The minutes are dotted with tiny black dots, with a silver dot between each numeral.
