Old Asian Mother of Pearl Box Carved Playful Monkeys Container  w/ Lid

This old Asian natural material box with lid was carved from natural material. The material clearly shows graining throughout and crosshatching is visible on the bottom of the box and on the underside of lid.

Carved Box Measurements:

  • 4.5 inches tall
  • 3.75 inches diameter at its widest
  • 11.2 ounces

Please review the pictures carefully. There has been some damage to this old box. There are vertical cracks on one side which, I believe, led to the bottom falling out. The piece has been rubber cemented together by a previous owner. With a little bit of TLC, this piece could be cleaned up and looking great!
